

Mark Gauthier

Mark Gauthier is a Colorado native, born in Denver in 1964. He graduated from Regis Jesuit High School in 1982. He then attended The University of Denver. While at DU, Mark was a member of the nationally ranked Soccer team. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance/Marketing from DU in 1986. He began Law School in 1987 at The University of Denver College of Law, and received his J.D. in 1990. Mark is certified to practice in all jurisdictions of Colorado, and the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
Mark began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in the 17th Judicial District, in Adams County Colorado. He prosecuted and tried numerous cases involving Misdemeanors and Felonies, including several Attempted Murder and First Degree Murder trials. After leaving the DA’s office in 1996, Mark has spent nearly two decades successfully trying numerous cases to verdict related to insurance defense matters, including complex torts, brain injuries, premises liability, insurance bad faith, and subrogation issues. He has represented clients in the Colorado Court of Appeals, the Colorado Supreme Court, Arbitrations and Mediations.
In his free time, Mark, his wife Ellen and their two children enjoy Colorado outdoors. They have climbed 35 of Colorado’s “fourteeners”, enjoy camping, skiing, cycling, soccer, rugby, theatre, travel and music.
